Build, publish, maintain — your whole docs site, from Claude. Free for every teammate.

On your own domain, versioned, hosted for you. Everyone edits from their own Claude account — no seat fees, no second editor to learn, and every change lands as a diff you approve.

§ The problem

Watch how a docs update actually happens on your team.

Someone drafts it in Claude — the release note, the corrected refund window, the new endpoint's description. That part takes two minutes. It's where your team already writes everything.

Then the second window opens. Log into the docs platform. Find the page. Paste. Fix the formatting the paste broke. Preview. Publish.

And that second window bills by the head. Five people who might touch the docs is five seats — whether they edit daily or twice a quarter. Want the platform's own AI to help in there? That's gated behind the upgrade.

So in practice, most of your team doesn't bother. They draft the fix in Claude, paste it in Slack, and it becomes your job. The docs drift, the seats renew, and the tool everyone actually writes in is the one your docs platform pretends doesn't exist.

You've read this thread. You may have written it.

“I'm the only person who writes documentation in my department… I got tired of being the only one, so I stopped doing that.”

Hacker News, Sep 2025

“Everyone says they will keep that random wiki page up to date. They never do.”

Hacker News, Sep 2025

“We have a 3 year old outdated confluence page.”

Hacker News, Feb 2024

“If your marketing manager needs git access and to edit a markdown file on GitHub — the chance they will document in even ideal conditions goes way down.”

§ The arithmetic

Do nothing, and the docs keep drifting. Every wrong page becomes a support ticket you answer twice.

Keep the hosted platform, and you keep paying by the head for a second editor your team avoids. Five people on GitBook Premium is $125 a month — $1,500 a year — and the fifth person joining costs another $144. Want its AI? That's the $309-a-month tier.

Go DIY instead, and you own a second repository forever: framework upgrades, MDX breakages, a build that fails on a Tuesday — and now nobody but you can touch the docs at all.

Every version of this ends the same way. Your team writes in one tool and publishes through another, and you pay for the gap — in seats, in upgrades, or in your own evenings.

§ What you get

A whole docs platform. You just never open it.

Storage, versioning, staged diffs, search, publishing, a custom domain with SSL, permissions and a full markdown export. You already do this work in Claude — Muniment makes it stick, versioned and published.

The fifth editor costs what the first one did: nothing.

$19 a month for the site, unlimited people on it. Each teammate connects their own Claude account, so a seat costs us nothing — which is why it costs you nothing. Your bill doesn't move when you hire.

Draft to published, in one window.

The place your team already writes is now the place your docs get maintained. No second editor to log into, no paste that breaks formatting, nothing new for anyone to learn — from their desk or their phone in a standup. If they can use Claude, they can maintain the docs.

Anyone proposes. You approve. One call undoes.

Every edit, from every teammate, arrives as a staged diff with a preview URL — nothing publishes until someone with the authority applies it. One review pipeline for the whole team, and any published change rolls back in one call. Open access without open season.

Change a fact once. Catch every place it's stated.

Ask about the refund window and Muniment returns the page that says “fourteen (14) days” and the one that says “two weeks.” Same fact, different words, both found — so you don't ship a document that contradicts itself.

No AI meter, on any plan. Including free.

Muniment buys no inference, so there's no credit balance to run down and no AI upsell waiting at the top of your usage. Tools that pay for AI have to meter it and charge for it. This one doesn't pay for it.

§ Proof

New product. Here's what's already true.

Muniment launched this month. Nobody's logo is below this line yet — we're not going to rent one. What we can show you instead is checkable today:

Try the whole loop before trusting it. The free tier is the full product on a muniment.xyz subdomain — connect Claude, edit, publish, roll back. Judge it on your own docs, not on our claims.

Your content is never trapped. Every document exports as clean markdown, on every plan, including free. Full fidelity, no proprietary syntax, no export fee. The day you want to leave, your docs come with you.

The pricing has no cliff. Free → $39/yr → $19$49$149. No step above about 3×, and the bill never changes because you hired someone.

Built by the person who did it the hard way first. A repo, a static host, theming, a deploy pipeline — six to twelve hours, hand-built, for a previous product's docs. Muniment is that substrate, already done, plus the part a repo can't do: letting someone without repo access change a published page.

§ How it works

Three steps. One of them is a copy-paste.

01

Create your site. Give us the address of a code repo, the address of a docs site you already have, or your writing pasted straight in. You don't need an account to see your site.

02

Connect Claude. Add the Muniment connector to Claude and invite your teammates. They connect with their own Claude accounts — free plan included.

03

Edit by asking. Anyone changes “the pricing page” in plain language. They see the change first, on a preview they can share. Publish when it's right.

No install. No framework to learn.

§ Questions

Why pay $19 when a git repo and Cloudflare Pages are free?

Because a repo can't do the thing you're buying. Your PM can't push to it, and giving her access to the repo that holds your deploy config isn't the fix. Muniment's whole job is letting people without repo access change published pages, safely and undoably.

What happens to our content if we leave?

Every document exports as clean markdown, on every plan, including free. Full fidelity, no proprietary syntax, no export fee, no support ticket to request it. It's your content in a format anything can read — you'll host it wherever you like.

Does my team need to pay for Claude?

They need a Claude account. Any plan works, including Free, and they connect Muniment on their own account. That's exactly why seats cost nothing — you're not buying anyone's AI, they already have it.

Is there a usage limit on the AI?

Muniment adds none and bills for none — there's no credit system and nothing metered, on any plan. Your only limits are the ones in your own Claude plan, which you already know.

What doesn't Muniment do?

It doesn't write your docs for you. There's no web editor — Claude is the editor. No SSO. Nothing for teams that don't use Claude. And your export gives you every document, not a running website.
